Types of Workshops -
EIGHT LIMBS OF ASHTANGA YOGA:
In this workshop, that is taken over 3 days, we will learn a bit more about the eight limbs i.e. Asht (eight) Anga (limbs). Subjects covered will be: Yamas, Niyamas, Asanas, Pranayama, Prathyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, Samadhi. (see “about us” page for definitions)
Over 3 days we will cover all the asanas (postures) that help you open up your body to experience the joy of turning upside down.
Success in Headstands, half handstands and full handstands:
Over 2 days we can all accomplish these, we just have to find and experience our core. When we do this through the bandhas or energy locks, we unleash our prana (life force energy) and become as innocent as children again.
Sequencing in Vinyasa Flow:
Over 1 or 2 days we discover the joy of creating our own 'Vinyasa Flow" daily practice, that will give you confidence in providing for yourself all the requirements that will enable you to enjoy a varied, creative, regular practice.
Hands on Ajustments:
2.5 hours, hands on adjustments will be learnt in a fun explorative way that will enhance your teaching skills and give you the edge as a great teacher.
The Art of Pranayama & Meditation:
Over 2 days (5-7 hours) we will lead you through pranayama (breathing) exercises including bandhas, mudras, kriyas, drishti. Meditation and the essentials will also be covered in 2 different forms.
Over 3 days we take you through the essentials of this practice - vinyasa, bandhas, drishti, counting. Then you will be taught the full mysore style, primary series using blocks belts and adjustments, so anyone can practice this challenging style.
